About me...
Singer, songwriter and saxophonist with a soulful, smooth jazzy style. I like to think I have my own unique sound, what artist doesn't! Truthfully, I do have a tough time identifying my music with other artists' music. There are elements of vocalists such as Teena Marie, Lisa Stansfield, Taylor Dayne, but don't forget, I also use my alto and tenor saxophones, too! It's quite a mix.
There are times when I think "yeah, my alto riff there is sorta David Sanborn or Candy Dulfer, Maceo Parker-like!" or my tenor reminds me of "Jr. Walker meets Gato Barbieri meets Stan Getz..."
My influences and passions for music are broad, can you hear my affinity for the Isley Brothers? Check out "I Wanna Funk It Up" you will, and you might hear some Zapp and Roger in there, too! I can't play the guitar like Ernie Isley, but I put some effects on my sax licks and get some of that groove.
Take a musical ride with me, be sure to have some wine, someone to snuggle and a nice fire to chill by. I'll be thinkin' of ya!
